Spring Airsoft Pistols Scare the Snakes Away

My family has lived in Africa for several years now, although we are Americans living there. My son is your typical boy, loves being outdoors and getting himself into trouble. During the summer months, we have a particular problem with snakes coming into our house, and my son is always aware of this and on the lookout to keep me from freaking out when I see them.
One way that he likes to scare them away is with spring airsoft pistols. He shoots them at the snake until they back up, retreating from danger. I’m just glad that there is someone to keep the snakes at bay. I hate snakes.
