Personal Revelation

Mormon Doctrine teaches that not only is there a modern prophet who leads the Lord’s Church and receives revelation for the whole world, but that individuals are also entitled to personal revelation. When members receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, they can use that gift to receive revelation for themselves as well as those who are under their stewardship. This revelation can be about anything that is important to the individual, through the communication of the Holy Ghost. These decisions could be about school, marriage, parenthood, etc. It is a huge comfort to members to know that Mormon Doctrine teaches this.
