Rainwater Tankless House

I remember being in this nice house and for the life of me I never understood why our house was the only different one from the other houses on the same street. Then one day I over heard my father mentioning he wished the house had rainwater tanks to catch the falling rain water. On a good rainy day, there are gallons of fresh water that sometimes, I’d love to go out there and catch myself. Eventually they ended up buying 2 water tanks to start off with. It happened years later, but I think it was better sooner rather than later.
