Disk Defragmenter and How to Use it On Windows 7
February 28th, 2010 by admin
If you have recently purchased a new computer with Windows 7 or upgraded your Vista OS with Windows 7, you still need to use the disk defragmenter. Even though Windows 7 is much easier to use and takes up less space on your hard drive, files still get fragmented, especially if you turn off your computer when it is not in use. The process for running the defrag computer process goes like this: Click Start, All Programs, Accessories , System Tools and Disk Defragmenter. Once this program executes simply click on either Analyze disk or Defragment Disk. If you are only defragmenting, click on Defragment Disk and it will run an analysis first anyway. Analyze Disk is used for when you want to see how fragmented your files are before you decide to defrag.
