Maryland DUI Attorney-Your Rights in Maryland

    November 22nd, 2009 by admin

Most people know that DUI means driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Operating a moving vehicle with a .08% blood alcohol level or higher is illegal in all states and if you test at this level or above in the state of Maryland the evidence will be used against you. Remember that if an officer pulls you over because they suspect that you are driving under the influence of alcohol, you are not required to answer any questions that could incriminate you. You have the right to speak with a maryland dui attorney before answering any questions.

Testing saliva, breath, urine or blood are all ways to measure the amount of alcohol in your body. When you are stopped on suspicion of a DUI it is normal for the arresting officers to give you the test on the spot. While testing the blood is a sure way to measure the BAC the most common test and the one most used as evidence is the Breathalyzer.
