If you don’t have that kind of experience you may find that a career change will not happen easily. Interning or gaining work experience is a valuable way to gain experience and also get a taste of what your new career might be like. You may find that it isn’t the right option for you but you wouldn’t know that until you’d spent time working in that field. Interning usually means working for free but most places cover expenses or you could try to work remotely if suitable to the role. There are lots of schemes available to make sure you do lots of research to find them all.
